Panel Discussion: The Future of ERP is Already Here
AI, cloud, digitalization and cybersecurity through the eyes of experts
After the coffee break and networking, the program moved into a more dynamic part: a panel discussion titled “The Future of ERP is Already Here.” The discussion focused on real-world experience with ERP implementations, especially in relation to cloud solutions, cybersecurity and process digitalization. Guests included experts from partner companies as well as customers who work directly in the field and understand both the challenges and opportunities of ERP system transformation.
Participants:
- Pavel Tamáši, Managing Director, Knowsoft
- Ivan Fedorko, Chairman of the Board, Tangram Software
- Marek Berky, Software Architect & Developer, PSW
- Ľuboš Černý, Managing Director, ProData plus
- Juraj Matlovič, ERP Expert, CLA Slovakia
The discussion opened with the question:
What are the biggest challenges in moving from on-premise ERP to the cloud?
Ivan Fedorko pointed out that although some companies still view the cloud with skepticism, it has already surpassed on-premise solutions in terms of security.
“We’ve seen several cases where companies lost their data due to local failures. Cloud solutions backed by professional teams offer reliable backups and high availability,” he said.
Marek Berky noted that among small and medium-sized businesses, fear of the cloud is still present. However, he sees a shift happening. Market pressure is increasing, and it’s only a matter of timing.
Ľuboš Černý offered a unique perspective from the HoReCa segment, where companies that can flexibly and affordably adapt their cloud solutions tend to succeed. For larger customers – such as hotel chains or restaurant networks – the cloud is no longer an option, but a necessity.
“Sharing guest data, e-wallets or centralized records – all of this can be managed effectively only through the cloud,” he added.
Juraj Matlovič responded cautiously:
“We have clients who want to be sure their data stays on-site. We must guarantee services even during outages. The cloud has clear benefits, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution. It must be approached wisely.”
The discussion then turned to the question:
Has digitalization moved ERP solutions forward?
Juraj Matlovič responded clearly:
“Yes. Paper should no longer exist.”
According to him, digitalization has transformed how companies use ERP – not just as recordkeeping tools, but as intelligent platforms that support growth, planning, error prevention and real-time optimization.
New Business Strategies for a Changing World
After the inspiring panel, Vladimír Zaic, Director of Sales and Strategy, took the stage. In his talk titled “New Business Strategies for Today: How to Respond Effectively to Changing Market Demands?” he addressed major topics that are reshaping modern business. Changing customer behavior, rapid digitalization, innovation pressure, sustainability, geopolitical factors, and generational shifts – all these are forcing companies to rethink traditional models.
The key question: How do you remain flexible and competitive at the same time?
Vladimír emphasized that today’s world requires fast adaptation and openness to new business models. Traditional strategies need a fresh approach based on understanding data, personalizing services and focusing on the true value businesses deliver to customers.
QASIDA as the Brain of the Company
This theme was smoothly followed by Stanislav Mišovic, Product Director at Asseco Solutions, who presented QASIDA in his talk titled “Unleash the Power of Visual Experience and Intuitive Solutions for Your Clients.”
His presentation naturally built on the morning discussion. Many ideas were repeated, but from a more practical perspective, helping the audience connect the dots.
Stanislav stressed that an ERP system should be the brain of the company – a central tool for collecting and connecting all types of data, not just financial. Only then can companies make truly informed decisions.
A key message was that everything is moving from rigid structures to flexibility – from on-premise to the cloud. With its intuitive interface, modern design and digital process support, QASIDA perfectly embodies this transformation.
You can watch all this and much more in the second part of the conference.
